Should I take a cold bath before or after my workout?
The optimal timing for ice baths varies depending on your training goals. Taking an ice bath in the morning can improve energy levels, focus and mood for the workout and the day. If you focus on strength training, it's best to ice bathe early in the day, either before your workout or wait 6 to 8 hours after finishing your workout. This is because one does not want to inhibit the positive strength- and muscle-building inflammation that occurs right after a workout.
